Welcome back to everyone at CPS! We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our returning and new staff that have joined us this year. Our team has worked diligently to prepare for students to return to school and have participated in required professional learning and training to start the year off safe. Once again, we begin another school year that is impacted by COVID-19 and the limitations that go along with mandated processes by York Public Health. Please also recognize that some students are still learning in remote learning environments and our teachers are still developing their understanding of what a hybrid model looks, feels and sounds like. Please welcome our staff when you meet them with your child(ren) when dropping off and picking them up on our yard. Please remember to social distance and when you are not able to maintain a 2 metre distance from others, wear a mask.

Screening Process
- New Requirements for all students:
Families are
reminded that on a daily basis they are to ensure that they complete their
daily screening for each of their children using the online school and
childcare screening tool: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
. Students who are unwell or present with any one of the symptoms on the
screening tool are not to attend school and are required to obtain a negative
COVID test and/or receive guidance from their family physician prior to
returning to school.
Upon completion of
the self-assessment, Parents/Guardians are required to complete the response to
the question, “Have you completed the self-screening tool?” in the confirmation
form https://covidscreening.yrdsb.ca/
using their child's GAPPS account login information for each child.
**Please be aware that if you and your children have travelled internationally and arrived home within the past 14 days, your unvaccinated children are required to remain home from school according to York Region Public Health. Please review the screening tool above for clarification.

purchased through School Cash Online for a cost of $6. You can register for School Cash Online at
any time by visiting the website. Once you are registered, you may go to
“My Account” and then “Manage my email notifications” to be notified of new
items available for your child.
Lunch Assistants: We are in need of Lunch Assistant for the 2021-2022 school year. This is a paid position from 12:25 to 1:25 pm. Please email the school if are interested and/or wish to learn more about the position.
